The shield's pins, divided by channel are shown in the table below: Function You can use each channel separately to drive two DC motors or combine them to drive one bipolar stepper motor. In total there are 8 pins in use on this shield. This shield has two separate channels, called A and B, that each use 4 of the Arduino pins to drive or sense the motor. The shield can supply 2 amperes per channel, for a total of 4 amperes maximum.
